Pungo Bathroom Remodel
In the Spring of 2022 the amazing team at Royal Construction tackled a bathroom remodel for a customer in historic Pungo, Virginia. The project scope included custom tile work, walk-in shower, and double vanity in their master en suite. Ultimately, the homeowners wanted a more open, modern space that was functional enough for them to enjoy for many years to come.
It should be noted that we spent time with the family up front to clearly understand their needs and wishes. In the end, this advanced planning resulted an ideal long-term solution.
The Solution
First, we started removed the outdated tile throughout the bathroom including the shower wall. Then, to achieve a more updated look, we enlisted the services of Derek, owner of Art of Tile and Design in Virginia Beach. Derek subsequently worked his magic on developing a one-of-a-kind custom pattern to give the shower space – and the entire bathroom – a more updated look.
Thanks to Derek, the shower stall features an eye-catching tile design that pulls all the other design elements together. We replaced the vanity cabinets, lighting and fixtures on both vanity sinks as well as the shower. To harness the natural light on this side of the property, our design team selected a soft, grey paint color. Now the walls perfectly complement the tile color.
The Result
In the end, the customer was ecstatic with the results. A careful job of up-front planning ensured that they got the bathroom of their dreams!
